Luke Siedle (pronounced Seed-lee), born 1988, is a South African contemporary folk artist, active since 2007. His debut album Our Stories (2008) includes an eclectic mix of country & folk-inspired original songs, and several instrumentals demonstrating his technical ability with the six-string guitar.

Luke grew up listening to American fingerstyle guitar players such as Leo Kottke, and pre-eminent folk artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and Nick Drake, through to 90s indie folk artists such as Eliott Smith, and remains heavily influenced by observations of life in the backdrop of post-Apartheid South Africa, all of which shines through in his dark idiosyncratic songwriting style.
